How to Make a YouTube (or Other iframe) Video Responsive

Sometimes adding videos to your website can cause it appear ugly. By adding a few lines of CSS to your style sheet and wrapping the iframe embed code in a little of HTML, you can make your video responsive.

Step 1: Add this section of code to your CSS file.
.video-container {
    position: relative;
    padding-bottom: 56.25%;
    padding-top: 30px; height: 0; overflow: hidden;
}
 
.video-container iframe,
.video-container object,
.video-container embed {
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
}
Step 2:
Wrap the iframe code in
<div class="video-container"> </div>

YouTube: This Video is not Available in your Country


Do you sometimes find yourself getting this message, "This video is not available in your country", when you are opening a YouTube video. This is because some videos are restricted by location.

Here is one trick to bypass this. If you are using Google Chrome, you can head over to ProxMate and download the extension. ProxMate does not only works for YouTube, it also allows you to use it on other platform such as Hulu, MTV and etc.
